What is Campa? Plus

Campa is a Toronto-based camping gear rental service that makes it easy for anyone to enjoy the outdoors—no experience or equipment necessary. We offer curated gear packages for individuals, couples, and groups, with delivery and pickup included.

Who is Campa for? Plus

Campa is for anyone who wants to spend more time outside—first-time campers, urban dwellers, students, immigrants, remote workers, and seasoned adventurers who just need a few essentials. We exist to lower the barrier to entry for outdoor exploration.

Gear and Packages
What’s included in a Campa package? Plus

Brief and clear aWe have two kinds of packages.

Essential kits come with just the basics: A tent, pillow, sleeping pad and bag.
Comfort kits is full set up that includes everything in the essential kit plus:  

  • Cooler
  • Coffee maker
  • Axe
  • Stove
  • Headlamp
  • Multi-tool
  • Food prep set - ladle, spatula, tongs, chef and paring knife, can opener, peeler, cheese grater, cutting board and scissors
  • Foldable chair
  • Cooking set - pots, pans & kettle
  • Plates, bowls, & utensils
  • Propane for stove
Can I customize my rental? Plus

Our packages are curated for ease. Currently packages can only be purchased in the essential or comfort kits.If you are a tour operator or large groups (8+) who need a bulk order we may be able to accommodate. Reach out here.

Do you offer corporate bookings or gear for tour operators? Plus

We do! If you're a tour guide looking to outfit your trip/ event or a company planning an offsite, school trip, or community event, Campa can support with rentals and tailor a package to fit your experience. Get in touch to learn more.

Booking and Logistics
Where do you deliver? Plus

We currently deliver throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and select surrounding regions. See our Delivery Zone Map here. If you’re unsure if we cover your location, shoot us a message.

 How does delivery and pickup work? Plus

Your gear will be delivered to your doorstep—or event site if part of a partnered experience—on the day before your rental start date, and picked up after your adventure. No need to clean or repack perfectly—we handle the post-trip cleanup.

 How far in advance should I book? Plus

We recommend booking at least 10 days in advance, especially for long weekends and peak summer dates. Last-minute? Reach out—we’ll do our best.

Where can I take the equipment? Plus

Our camp gear can go anywhere you can carry it (within Canada). We only ask for a pick-up and drop-off address within our delivery zone for ordinary circumstances

First-Time and Beginner Campers
Do I need camping experience to rent from Campa? Plus

Do I need a car to go camping? Plus

Not necessarily. Many of our customers use public transit to reach parks, trails, and even campgrounds or travel in pre organized tours to get out. Ask us for suggestions that are TTC-accessible or reachable by bus/train.

What if I’ve never camped before? Plus

You’re exactly who we made this for. We’re here to demystify the outdoors and offer guidance every step of the way—from where to go, what to pack, and how to use your gear.

Policies and Responsibilities
What if something gets damaged or lost? Plus

For significant damage or missing items, a fee may apply. All customers are required to sign a rental agreement before pickup to ensure clarity and transparency.

Do I need to clean the gear before returning it? Plus

Gear maintenance is included within your package fee for ordinary use and light soiling. If you have a wet tent we ask you to either hang it to dry if time allows or pack it into a garbage bag instead before we pick up the gear. Heavily soiled gear may incur a cleaning fee.

Can I bring pets into the tent? Plus

Unfortunately pets are not allowed in the tents as they may damage or rip the tents incurring our damage fee.
